Important:
- A direct flight from Germany (Frankfurt) has a duration of approx 8 - 9 Hrs.
- For entry into Kenya, you will need a passport that must remain valid for at least six months beyond the end of your vacation. Children must also have their own passports. In addition to the passport, a visa is required. The process for obtaining a visa is quite straightforward and can only be done through the electronic visa system. Please make sure to check the current entry requirements well in advance of your trip, especially for German citizens, on the website of the Federal Foreign Office.
- Transfers from the airport to the villa will cost approx. 40 € upto 50 €. We will be happy to organise your trips from and to the airport should these be requested. The ride to our villa will take approx. 2 Hrs because Mombasa is an island connected with bridges and feries to the main land. As part of the Gate bridge project a direct bridge is planned which will connect Mombasa to the main land. This bridge will relieve the current congestion arising from the feries.
- We advise you carry some cash to pay for the visas and taxi. A tip from us: You can retrieve money from the ATM of barclays. A maximum of 400€ a day can be withdrawn at this ATM.
